We are launching the ‘High-Value Transport Series’, dedicated to analysing the transport of high-value goods in Europe

We present the High-Value Transport Series, an initiative through which we analyse trends in the transport of high-value goods across Europe, drawing on our expertise as specialists in these flows on the continent. Each report will focus on a specific segment for in-depth analysis.

Building on the success of our report on the pharmaceutical sector, we will continue to publish reports on some of the sectors with the highest economic value in Europe, such as perfumery and cosmetics, chemicals, fashion and footwear, and technology, which will be published next week.

Building on the success of our report on the pharmaceutical sector, we will continue to publish reports on some of the sectors with the highest economic value in Europe, such as perfumery and cosmetics, chemicals, fashion and footwear, and technology, which will be published next week.

These reports will analyse the main trade flows within Europe, identify the key origin and destination corridors, and provide the insights needed to understand which products are being moved, how and where. Our aim is to use all our accumulated knowledge and experience in these industries to provide businesses with a practical tool for analysing market trends and the logistical implications of each sector, offering the most comprehensive information possible.

A common theme running through the segments assessed in the High-Value Transport Series is that high-value goods require highly secure and reliable supply chains. The sophistication of these products, their high unit value, and their sensitivity to incidents mean that transport is a critical factor in the competitiveness of these industries.

“The High-Value Transport Series focuses precisely on this aspect”, says Álvaro González-Escalada, Logista Freight’s General Manager. “Understanding a sector’s supply chain involves analysing its flows, vulnerabilities, and operational requirements. The value of a specialist logistics operator lies in its ability to address these needs with bespoke solutions”.

Security: the cornerstone of high-value logistics

Throughout the High-Value Transport Series, one of the key themes is the vital role of security in the entire transport chain, which is an essential requirement in high-value logistics.

In sectors such as pharmaceuticals, technology, cosmetics and fashion, the risk of theft during transport is a well-documented fact across Europe. This risk has grown considerably in recent years, causing increasing concern within the industry. The cost of a security incident is now measured not only by the value of the stolen goods, but also by supply chain disruption and its impact on customer confidence.

At Logista Freight, we address this challenge by conducting a thorough analysis of the most prevalent theft methods, the regions with the highest incidence rates, and the solutions that mitigate them. These solutions include specific certifications and advanced technological capabilities.

Our reports also address other factors that determine the quality of a logistics operator in high-value markets, such as real-time visibility, the ability to adapt to peaks in demand and commitment to sustainability. “These are attributes that we at Logista Freight have been developing in collaboration with the leading players in these industries, and which make us a strategic partner in the transport of high-value goods. The High-Value Transport Series stems from this shared learning”, concludes Álvaro González-Escalada.

Next week, we’ll be presenting all the trends in the transport of technology products in Europe.
