Leaders in transport security, TAPA TSR – 1 Level

The Association for the Protection of Transported Assets, better known by its acronym TAPA, is an organization made up of security professionals representing high-tech and high-value companies, as well as transport and logistics service providers, with the objective of mitigating security threats in supply chains. TAPA began by creating security standards for transportation, but gradually, they have developed other standards for the control of warehouses or facilities and truck parks. All this was set up, with the aim of providing global security from the beginning of the transport chain to the end of it, securing loading and unloading facilities, parking for breaks on route,  the vehicles which transport the goods, and undoubtedly, ensuring the safety of  the driver.

The most recent change made in the latest TSR2020 standard stands out, this being the introduction of certain specific modules. These modules have been established to meet the needs of those sectors that transport highly vulnerable loads and that require additional control measures. These modules deal with the Alarm Monitoring  Centres, blocking systems, intermodal train security, security escorts and IT security or Cybersecurity.

With this new update, it can be seen that the standards for certification have changed. The requirements have become more specific and precise, and in addition, the points that were previously more general have been detailed, causing the certification to be much more demanding and rigorous. Logesta, thanks to its excellent security management system, has once again renewed its TAPA TSR certification – Level “1” (maximum level), and furthermore, has obtained the certification for its new van service. All this is in addition to the certifications already achieved, such as the ISO 9001 standard, (quality management), ISO 14001 (medium management), IFS Logistics and Good Distribution Practices (GDP), which positions Logesta as the benchmark company  for security and quality in transportation, reinforcing its commitment to its hundreds of customers who continue to place their trust in the company.
